Happy New Year
It's one of my favorite days!!! We are going to my aunt's annual NYE party. We will be leaving shortly after Robby gets home from work. There is usually a nice fireworks show put on by my uncle and cousin. I'm sure I'll have lots of great pictures tomorrow:)

Money well spent...not
After Robby and Megan tried out the new compressor he comes in and says "It doesn't work". Great. We all get dressed and head out to Toys R Us so Jared can take back a few things and use his gift card. Then we went to Target to return the compressor and I find the same one. I took it out of the box to make sure it worked and it did. The last one wouldn't switch into air mode. The vacuum part was fine. We get it and Jared gets a few packs of YuGiOh cards to finish off his Christmas money. Robby wanted to try out the compressor before we left Target and it's a good thing he did. It worked at first then it started leaking air. I ran it back in and told them it was broken too. We stopped at the Chinese restaurant on the way home for some takeout. It was the best Lo Mein I've had from there. Jared is now the proud owner of a harmonica. It came with a book to teach him how to play. We'll see how this goes. So far Megan has managed to drive me crazy with it.
Twistie ties suck!!!
I must have taken off a hundred twistie ties this weekend. Why do they need to put 1 on every corner of everything in the box? Megan picked out a Graco swing for her baby and I really wanted to throw it in the dumpster. It was exactly like a real sized one to put together. She woke up this morning and started it up and the added bonus is this one has music. JOY!!! She loves loves loves her LuvCub. I liked playing with him too. He takes a bottle and makes cute little sounds. He plays peek-a-boo and loves hugs. Jared is thrilled with his YuGiOh Duel Disk. He recieved another one from my aunt so we need to make a trip to Toys R Us today so he can exchange it and use his gift card from my dad. Megan and I went yesterday. What was I thinking? This was a happy Christmas in the D house. Our apartment dumpster is still full so we have 3 big bags full of paper and boxes to throw out. Last year this would have driven me crazy, but I'm content to watch the kids make a mess with their toys. One day the toys will be gone and they'll be grown up so we might as well enjoy it while we can. Robby and Megan are out at the car trying out Robby's new air compressor I picked up yesterday. It's a vaccum, air compressor, and light all in one. Not bad for $20!! I was really excited to see the snow on Christmas Eve. Tracie and I played in it more than our kids I think. It was the talk of Christmas at Memaw's. It was sad Steven couldn't be there with us, but I know he was looking down at us from Heaven.

A friend called me a little while ago to tell me it was snowing. Megan and I ran outside and couldn't believe it. I knocked on the neighbors door to tell them. It lasted all of 30 minutes, but it snowed!!! Here are some pictures to prove it

It's been a long night. Jared has the flu. Megan is giving afterall;) I let him sleep in our bed and after so long I had to move to the couch. I wake up to the sounds of heaving about 3am. I take over for Robby so he can go back to sleep. He still has to work today. HP was nice enough to give him Monday off, but since he's not hired on yet it's not paid and he doesn't get vacation time or sick days. Thanks HP. Back to the point, I smelled something horrible coming from Jared. The shits have begun. I get him cleaned up and back to the bed and settle down for a long winters nap. I think we slept until Robby's alarm went off(6:30)and Jared had some water. Sounded like he was drinking all the water left on the planet. Back to sleep we go until 9:15 and he starts again. More poop, more heaving. I went to take care of some laundry and I hear him calling me "Mommieeee"finish up and find him in my bed telling me he can't make it to the potty, he needs the bucket. Give him the bucket and a nice lecture on how long it took to call me and wait for me to get in there. He could have made it. Walk out and step on one of those reusable ice packs. The blue ones. I told Megan someone was going to step on it she needed to put it in the freezer. Well, if you step on one of those blue gel shoots across the room and gets sticky. I hope I'm not glowing tonight.

Baby Born is dressed. The letters to Santa are almost finished. Jared is bugging me about spelling. How is this supposed to work? I need to finish all the laundry. Jared's medical supplies just came in. I called the order in this morning. That was fast even by UPS standards. Too bad he's missing 1 box of caths. Happens every month. How do I put a picture on this damn thing?
